You can raise your hand in any Microsoft Teams meeting in three ways:

1. Ctrl + Shift + K (keyboard shortcut) 2. Use the "Raise Hand" button in the Microsoft Teams application on Windows PC 3. Use the "Raise Hand" button in Microsoft Teams meetings on Android and iPhone

Few people know how to raise their hands in Microsoft Teams to get the presenter’s attention without stopping the meeting completely. If you don't use the raise hand in Microsoft Teams, everything will fall apart.

By using Raise Hand in Microsoft Teams, you can notify the speaker that you have a question or comment without stopping the meeting completely.

During a Microsoft Teams meeting, use the raise hand feature to prevent people from interrupting others when they are speaking or giving presentations. It is applicable to Microsoft Teams on all platforms, please find your method in the solution below.

Using the Microsoft Teams application on your computer, you can use one of these two methods to raise your hand.

During the video call, you should see a floating bar fixed in the upper right corner of the Microsoft Teams app. From here, you can:

1. Use the Raise Hand keyboard shortcut (Ctrl + Shift + K) 2. Hover the mouse over the chat response button and click the hand icon

When you are done, you will notice that your screen will be highlighted with a yellow border, indicating that the speaker knows that you have raised your hand and have a question or comment. Once you raise your hand, the speaker will be able to see you and other people raising your hand.

After completing the question or adding a comment in the conversation, be sure to use the keyboard shortcut (Ctrl + Shift + K) or click the hand icon again to drop your hand to indicate that you have completed your contribution or withdraw your question or comment.

For Microsoft Teams meetings on the web, the Teams web interface replicates the desktop application interface, so the steps on the web will remain the same. The only difference between the Microsoft Teams app and the web is that when you raise your hand, you won't get the same yellow border highlight.

Instead, you will see the same hand as when you selected it in the Microsoft Teams desktop application. After clicking it, you will raise your hand and notify the speaker. When you want to drop your hand, just click it again to drop it.

Available on Android and iPhone (iOS), the mobile interface remains the same to provide the same Teams experience on all platforms. The Teams experience on mobile devices still needs improvement, because the recent Teams update fixed a worrying bug that prevented Android users from making 911 calls.

During a Microsoft Teams video call meeting on Android and iPhone, select the three-dot menu at the bottom of the screen. A menu will pop up with multiple options. Click Raise Hand to raise your hand in the meeting.

Or, if you are in a large video conference and want to see who else has raised their hands, you can check the list of people who raised their hands to see how long you have to wait before you can speak. Here are three quick ways to view Microsoft Teams participants on PC, Web, Android and iPhone.

1. During a video call in the Microsoft Teams desktop application, select the three-dot menu, and then click the "Show Participants" item in the upper-right menu. A column will appear on the right, showing a list of meeting participants, and you can check whether they have questions or comments through the hand icon that appears next to their names.

2. During a video call in the web version of Microsoft Teams, select the three-dot menu, and then click "Show Participants" in the bottom bar. You will see a column on the right, which shows a list of meeting participants.

3. During a video call on Android and iPhone (iOS), select the three-dot menu from the bottom bar, and then select "Persons" from the pop-up menu to view the list of people participating in the meeting and those who own them, raise their hands. After clicking "People", you will see a list of full-screen conference participants that can be viewed on your phone. From here, you can see who raised their hands to ask questions or comments.
