The Dorchester Collection is a portfolio of nine of the most legendary properties in the world, and the visionary real estate development group OMNIYAT, announced that their new luxury landmark will be called The Lana. The name comes from Arabic, meaning "for us" and Hawaiian "floating gently in calm water", the name is to pay tribute to the hotel's location near Dubai Creek and Marathi Marina. Lana represents a place of tranquility and hospitality, evokes a sense of peace and belonging, and presents an unparalleled lifestyle experience.

Under the leadership of General Manager Caroline-Jane Houston, The Lana will open in the last quarter of 2022, with 225 rooms, located in the Burj Khalifa district in downtown Dubai, overlooking the vibrant business bay area. It marks the first address of the Dorchester Collection in the Middle East. The Lana is an eye-catching 30-story tower designed by award-winning architect Foster + Partners to perfectly capture the essence of the destination and bring an unparalleled ultra-luxury experience to downtown Dubai. Hotel guests can relax at the beach club on Palm Jumeirah One, Palm Jumeirah, Dorchester, Dubai, and take a scenic short cruise.

The Lana was designed by the Paris duo Gilles & Boissier to highlight Dubai’s stunning vistas, with views of Burj Khalifa, beautiful sunsets in the northwest and seemingly endless scenery in the southeast. All aesthetic choices reflect the prime location of the hotel. The Lana is an ideal destination for locals and international travelers. It is only 20 minutes from Dubai International Airport, 75 minutes from Abu Dhabi International Airport, and 15 minutes' walk from Burj Khalifa and the adjacent Dubai Mall.

The 225 unique guest rooms include 69 suites, all with floor-to-ceiling windows and well-lit spaces. The design is modern, inspired by the urban environment, and detailed designs such as stone parquet floors, triple-height ceilings and screen partitions create an atmosphere that is both welcoming and discreet. Dark marble, round furniture and soft gold, beige and olive colors can be seen everywhere in the living space. A highlight of the in-room experience is the deep-soaking bathtubs, some of which will be placed in the windows, allowing residents to enjoy a great city view while bathing.

One of the hallmarks of the Dorchester Collection is the signature suites, and at The Lana, guests will have 21 signature suites to choose from. Each iconic suite has a residential feel, magnificent, with an open floor plan, allowing the lush tropical landscape to flow in from the outdoors.

Lana's presidential suite and royal suite provide guests with a new luxury experience. The 333-square-meter presidential suite has two living rooms dedicated to entertainment, garden room, dining room and a spacious private terrace extending along the facade. The two-bedroom Royal Suite has an impressive 357 square meters of indoor and outdoor living space surrounding the north corner of the building.

Generous on-site facilities will be the key to The Lana guest experience, and guests can look forward to the world-renowned concierge and fascinating services of the Dorchester Collection. Arriving guests and visitors will be welcomed on the second floor, which is one level above the water, with reception, concierge, indoor and outdoor social lobby spaces, and pastry counters. The second floor will also be the location of a secluded garden lounge.

The fourth floor of the hotel will become a unique scene with a modern Mediterranean restaurant, offering indoor and outdoor dining and private dining spaces. There will also be an Italian cafe on the fourth floor, with seating both indoors and outdoors. Lana’s iconic restaurant and lounge is located on the 18th floor of the hotel, and guests can look forward to a unique experiential dining experience in Dubai. Going further up, on the 29th floor is the hotel's spa, health center and state-of-the-art gym. The rooftop swimming pool on the 30th floor of the hotel is only open to hotel guests during the day and will provide cabana service. When night falls, this space will become a lounge and Dubai's most popular nightlife destination, reveling under the stars.
