Samsung started rolling out the Android 12L based One UI 4.1.1 update for Galaxy phones last month. And the Galaxy Z Fold 2 is the latest phone to receive the update. As you know Android 12L is the OS focused on tablets and bigger phones, it improves the user experience even on foldables. Let’s learn more about One UI 4.1.1 for Galaxy Z Fold 2.

Samsung has already rolled out the Android 12L based update for tablets and foldables that have been launched after the Galaxy Z Fold 2. This includes the Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Tab S7, and Galaxy Tab S8. And now Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 has also joined this list.

The One UI 4.1.1 update for Galaxy Z Fold 2 is currently rolling out in Germany with firmware build F916BXXU2HVHA. But it will also be available for other regions soon. The latest update comes with many new features and the latest September 2022 Security Patch.

New features are focused on multitasking. The new update improves switching between apps, gesture support to change the view, shows app names in the edge panel, PC-style touch control in flex mode, and more. Check out the changelog below.

The new OTA update is available in batches so it might take some time for all devices. Users can also check for the update manually by going to Settings > Software Update. And once the update is available tap the Download and Install button. Before updating your device make sure to take a full backup and charge your phone to at least 50%.
