A WINCHESTER-BASED window shutters business is continuing its growth with the addition of a new branch in Chelmsford.

Husband and wife team Rajesh and Punita Borkhataria will take on the branch and become the 39th partner business in the Shuttercraft network.

Punita said: “As a business, Shuttercraft ticked all the boxes for us as a family, matching our vision and values completely. We see our business having all the ingredients for success with the training provided and the quality shutters we can now offer.

“For us to be successful and grow, we must ensure we match customers’ expectations perfectly and we’re confident we can do that.

“The training provided has been great, very informative. We can’t wait to get started and help homeowners in Chelmsford get efficient quality window treatments.”

The bespoke shutter business has a nationwide network of professionals, offering expert on-site consultation and 'top tier' installation, to give homes across the UK design and heat efficiency.

As part of a continued drive to deliver a high-level customer experience, the leading supplier of interior shutters and blinds has also built and expanded its set of franchisee support services.

Shuttercraft offers an award-winning training programme to upskill both installers and owners. Led by head trainer Mark Duwell, a 15-year veteran of the shutter industry, the training offers both franchise owners and their staff the support they need to tackle complex installations - ensuring the highest quality installations for homeowners across the nation.

The scheme, part of Shuttercraft’s promise to offer industry expertise far and wide, has also been recognised by the British Blind and Shutter Association, who awarded the business with the ‘Best In-House Training Programme’ award.

Tony Reid, Head of Marketing for Shuttercraft, says: “We’re really excited to be able to offer our services in the Chelmsford area now - thanks to Rajesh and Punita joining the Shuttercraft family.

“Summer is on everyone’s minds, but many are also conscious of the rising costs of electricity and considering sustainable long term choices in their home design.

“When closed, shutters reduce heat loss significantly - and they’re also handy for the summer months if you want to keep cool and control light coming in.

“Our franchise owners are the heart of our business, we’re delighted to be welcoming Rajesh and Punita to our network of partners and we’re proud to be providing such a wide range of support services to help drive their operations forward.”
