Woman doing laundry suspectedly slips and plunges to her death | The Standard

A 66-year-old woman in Ho Man Tin hanging out clothes onto the laundry rack outside the window suspectedly slipped and plunged to her death on Saturday morning. 

The tragedy occurred at Kwun Shing House, Kwun Tak Court in Ho Man Tin, and was reported to police by the son at 7.28am. 

The body of the woman surnamed Lam was found on a podium of that building. Paramedics rushed to the scene only to declare the woman dead. 

After a preliminary investigation, police believed Lam was hanging out clothes on the laundry rack installed on the exterior wall of the building at the time of the incident. She suspectedly slipped and fell through the window from her home on the fifth floor. 

Her 80-year-old husband, surnamed Fan and her son broke down emotionally after learning the shocking news and were sent to a hospital. 

The actual cause of death has yet to be confirmed, awaiting an autopsy.
