The name of Feadship needs no introduction. One of the best-known, leading brands in the superyacht industry, Feadship yachts often set the standard, and Sport is no exception. Sport offers far more volume than you would expect for a 45-metre yacht, and spans a generous 499 GT.Photo: Charl van Rooy / SuperYacht Times Sport was designed by De Voogt Naval Architects who were responsible for her naval architecture, while Studio De Voogt and Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design penned her exterior.Photo: Cecil Wright & Partners The yacht Sport, is the first in the Feadship F45 Vantage series and outshines her sisters thanks to her highly enhanced interior by Donald Starkey. She is defined by her distinctive woods, marbles, metals and fabrics that give a unique finish to her walls, floors, ceilings and doors. A wealth of geometric shapes and natural colours emphasise the yacht’s volume, with highlights including the use of lace wood with Zebrano, Etimoe and Bubinga as feature veneers, and Japanese sen with ebony details. The marble range is equally extensive, and includes Onyx, Nero Assoluto, Chassagne Volnay, Noir St Laurent and Crema Valencia.Photo: Cecil Wright & Partners The main deck of Sport is home to the saloon with large picture windows that stretch from floor to ceiling, and flood the room with plenty of natural light.  A cut-out in the bulwark further accentuates the uninterrupted views, ensuring they are even available when seated.Photo: Cecil Wright & Partners The open plan saloon centres around the seating area which includes two sofas and two armchairs. A small dining area leads out onto the deck through large glass doors, where alfresco dining for eight guests takes place, close to her outside bar.Photo: Cecil Wright & Partners Photo: Cecil Wright & Partners The superyacht Sport is able to accommodate up to eight guests across four luxurious staterooms with the spacious owner’s suite located on the main deck. On either side of the saloon, covering the complete height of the bulwark, are glass partitions that slide forward, opening 80 percent of the floor-to-ceiling height up to the open air. Two glass bi-fold doors aft also allow the entire patio area to be opened up.Photo: Cecil Wright & Partners The sun deck of the superyacht Sport allows for sunbathing, relaxing and alfresco dining with a generous and flexible layout.
