Across Beverly Hills, Malibu, Los Angeles and Los Feliz, California is absolutely littered with the luxurious homes of celebrity children now entering the real estate game for themselves. Raised in the spotlight and, in most cases, now enjoying their own careers, these young stars have a taste for the grand, the glamorous, and even the gaudy when it comes to setting up house. Click or scroll on and take a peek inside ten homes to see just how this elite set lives.

Paris Jackson is the middle child and only daughter of Michael Jackson. Her parents divorced a year after she was born, and Paris was raised entirely by her father at Neverland Ranch, Jackson's home and private amusement park in Santa Barbara, which he frequently used to host his numerous celebrity friends. After her father’s sudden death in 2009, Paris and her older brother were placed in the care of their grandmother, Katherine.

According to Dirt, Paris Jackson recently bought this gorgeous three-bed, two-bath Hollywood Hills retreat for $3.8 million (£3.2m). Jackson isn’t the first star to covet the property, a cosy cabin in a secluded, woody area. She purchased it from Maroon 5 keyboardist, Jesse Carmichael and it was previously owned by Canadian singer-songwriter k.d. lang. 1950s Hollywood heartthrob Rock Hudson was another previous owner.

Among the house’s most attractive features are its outdoor spaces, which include beautifully landscaped rockeries and gardens interspersed with meandering paths, a saltwater pool, spa and sauna. The property also includes a small art studio and a garage which has been converted into a music studio by one of its previous owners. The entire complex is enclosed by rustic stone walls and densely packed trees for maximum privacy.

The house’s interior is everything one might expect from a luxury log cabin, with polished hardwood floors, exposed beams and a two-way stone fireplace, warming both the family and the dining rooms. A wall of French windows opens out onto a wooden deck fitted with a comfortable couch, the perfect place to enjoy the views of the canyon below. The main floor of the building includes a family room, living room, kitchen, dining area, two guest bedrooms and a full bath.

The house’s lower level consists entirely of a master bedroom, complete with its own sitting area, fireplace, and wall of French doors leading out onto the shady patio. The bedroom also includes an enormous walk-in closet, as well as an ensuite bathroom outfitted with dual vanities and a soaking tub— truly the perfect place to escape and relax!

Hailey Bieber (née Baldwin) is the daughter of Stephen Baldwin, himself the youngest of the Baldwin brothers. Following a childhood of home-schooling and classes at the American Ballet Theatre in New York City, Bieber made her runway debut in 2014, and has since featured in major campaigns for Guess, Tommy Hilfiger and Ralph Lauren. In 2018, at the age of 21, she married Canadian pop star and teen heartthrob Justin Bieber.

Nestled in the coveted Beverly Park enclave of Beverly Hills, Hailey and Justin’s current home is an enormous French-style estate. The couple purchased the 11,145-square-foot property in 2020 for almost $26 million (£22m) to use as their main home. The house was built in 1988, and renovated to its current standard by a previous owner in 2019.

Upon entry, guests are greeted by a grand two-storey entryway, with a sweeping staircase, brightly tiled floor and a grand piano. The house itself includes seven bedrooms and ten bathrooms, as well as a state-of-the-art home theatre, formal dining room, library, pool table room, gourmet kitchen and large family lounge.

The master bedroom includes a separate seating area, as well as large doors which open out onto a deck overlooking the pool and the spectacular mountain view. But the luxury doesn’t end there. Step through the door to the ensuite bathroom and you’ll discover an enormous walk-in shower and soaking tub with a large crystal chandelier hanging over it.

In addition to its grandiose interiors, the property’s cultivated surrounding 2.5 acres offer a range of high-end amenities. For outdoor exercise, the Biebers can use an infinity swimming pool and championship tennis court in the comfort of their backyard. When it’s time to relax, there is also a covered patio with a full living room set and woodburning fireplace, as well as a pizza oven, barbeque, dining area and even a koi pond.

One of the world’s best-selling artists of all time, Lionel Richie has received four Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe, and the Kennedy Center Honors for his work as a singer-songwriter. In 1984, Richie and his wife, Brenda Harvey, became the legal guardians of his friend’s three-year-old daughter, Nicole, who they legally adopted three years later. After a childhood in the Richie home, Nicole has explored careers in music, fashion, acting and as a television personality.

In 2021, Nicole Richie and her husband, singer Joel Madden, purchased a $10.2 million (£8.6m) mansion located in the mountains above Beverly Hills, in a private, gated community known as 'The Summit'. The 6,165-square-foot, château-style house dates to 1987, but underwent a significant remodel in 2019 courtesy of SIMO design. The house then served as the residence of SIMO’s founders, husband and wife duo Sam Gnatovich and Alexi Rennalls, until its sale in September last year.

The new design seamlessly blends old-world elegance with sleek modern details. Wide-plank wooden floors contrast with dark statement Carrara marble throughout the house, while largely white walls help brighten the space. The house includes five bedrooms and six bathrooms, as well as a state-of-the-art kitchen, a library/office and an open-plan living and dining area which opens out onto a spacious back patio.

The bedrooms are all located on the second floor, each with its own ensuite. The master bedroom includes its own seating area, a large fireplace and a private balcony, as well as a marble-hewn ensuite connecting to a large walk-in closet and dressing room. There is also a separate staff wing.

The property also offers gorgeous outdoor entertaining space across approximately a third of an acre. A dining patio shaded in an olive grove connects to a seating area with a large outdoor fireplace and a sizeable swimming pool. The entire backyard overlooks the beautiful surrounding hills, the San Fernando Skyline, and even the Pacific Ocean. The soft grey stone which paves the entire outdoor complex flows beautifully back into the house through the open family room doors, creating a seamless transition from out to in.

Another of Lionel Richie’s children, Sofia Richie, is a fashion designer, social media personality and model who has appeared in ad campaigns for Tommy Hilfiger, Michael Kors, and Adidas. Sofia is the daughter of Richie’s second wife, Diane Alexander, as well as the goddaughter of Michael Jackson. Though Sofia shares her father’s love for music, she avoided a career in the industry out of anxiety that she could not live up to her father’s reputation.

Just last month, Richie and her fiancée, Elliot Grainge, purchased this East Coast-style estate in Brentwood, Los Angeles for $26.9 million (£22.3m). The six-bed, nine-bath home offers 10,779 square feet set on just under an acre in one of LA’s priciest neighbourhoods. Screened by a combination of tall gates, dense hedges and leafy trees, the sumptuous house and grounds are a secluded retreat from the outside world.

The house’s first floor boasts a dining room, a library and an open-plan family room and kitchen equipped with marble countertops and SubZero and Wolf appliances. Also on the first floor, the formal living room has a wall of French doors leading out onto a covered patio with its own fireplace, seating area and view of the spectacular rolling lawns and manicured gardens.

The second storey houses the bedrooms, including a master suite that looks as though it has been lifted straight out of a luxury hotel. In addition to its seating area and fireplace, the master also boasts dual dressing rooms and bathrooms. The second floor also houses a large home theatre and fitness centre. Throughout the home, dark hardwood floors and crisp white wainscotting create a classic New England-style aesthetic to match the exterior.

However, perhaps the most decadent feature of the estate is the surrounding grounds, featuring a swimming pool, English rose garden, manicured specimen trees and lush green lawns. The property also offers ample auxiliary spaces where the couple and their friends can enjoy the beautiful outdoors, including a pool-side cabana equipped with a television and fireplace, a fire pit and lounge area, a barbeque grill and an open-air sundeck— truly a present-day Garden of Eden!

English rock star and television star Ozzy Osbourne helped shape what we now know as heavy metal with his band Black Sabbath. He has been married to Sharon for forty years and the couple share three children: Aimee, Jack, and Kelly. Following a childhood spent touring the world with her father and appearing on the family’s reality TV show The Osbournes, Kelly has dabbled in the music, acting, modelling, and fashion industries.

Today, Kelly Osbourne enjoys the high life in a 2,340-square-foot mid-century modern home in Los Feliz, which she bought from actress Rooney Mara for $3.6 million (£3m) in 2018. Originally built in 1963, the two-bed, two-bath house has been renovated to a high standard to feature an open floorplan, sleek white-tiled floors and floor-to-ceiling windows designed to maximise the view of the surrounding countryside.

Despite its exquisite renovations, the interiors are still evocative of its mid-century origins, with mint-green kitchen cabinetry, layered oriental rugs and a very 60s exposed fireplace. The open concept living area, paired with the white floors, white walls and enormous windows, is light, bright and unmistakably modern.

The 1960s colour palette continues into the master bedroom, with a powder-blue armoire serving as the focal point in an otherwise very neutral space. The far wall of the room consists entirely of sliding glass doors, offering a tempting view of the lush greenery surrounding the house, and of the valley beyond. The ensuite bathroom features the same powder-blue cabinetry, as well as double sinks and elegant vanity.

In addition to the stunning views from inside the house, the building is surrounded by covered decks which allow ample access to the scenery outside. Plus, with the house situated in a quiet cul-de-sac in the exclusive Oaks neighbourhood, there’s plenty of privacy, even with all those windows!

Before Miley Cyrus was a pop princess or swinging from an enormous wrecking ball and shaving her head, she was a frequent backstage guest at her father’s shows. Her dad is the multi-platinum-selling country artist Billy Ray Cyrus perhaps now best known to millennials for having co-starred opposite his daughter in the hit Disney Channel show Hannah Montana. The two have continued to collaborate both in concerts and on hit singles.

Though Miley has owned multiple beautiful properties over the course of her eventful career, her current residence is a 1950s classic, with six bedrooms and seven bathrooms across 6,800 square feet of space. Cyrus purchased the Hidden Hills home in July of 2020 for just under $5 million (£3.5m), and redesigned its interior with the help of her personal stylist, manager, and mom, Tish Cyrus.

With distinctive black window sashes juxtaposed against clean white walls, the house’s interior is a perfect reflection of its façade. Just beyond the front doors, the formal living room is bright and airy, with soft French oak flooring, vaulted ceilings and ample light from both the distinctive arched window and the French doors leading out onto the patio. The first floor also houses an open-plan kitchen and family area, a recliner-packed home theatre and a bar area ideal for hosting.

Engineered with hosting in mind, the upper floors boast not one but two master suites, as well as four additional ensuite guest rooms. The primary master features a fireplace, balcony, walk-in closet and marble steam shower, as well as a continuation of the French oak flooring, white walls and minimalist, ‘beach-cottage’ aesthetic.

The grounds appear perfectly suited to hosting glamourous parties or weekend getaways with friends. From the pavilion housing a full kitchen, to the lagoon-style swimming pool, to the outdoor dining and living areas, the property offers multiple ways to enjoy the beautiful Hidden Hills scenery, just an hour’s drive from downtown LA.

Star of cult classics such as Pulp Fiction and the Die Hard franchise, along with countless others, Bruce Willis is a beloved staple of American cinema. In 1987, Willis married Brat Pack member and rising star Demi Moore, with whom he had three daughters: Rumer Glenn, Scout LaRue and Tallulah Belle. As a child, Tallulah appeared in a few of her parents' films, but as an adult, despite her celebrity parentage, she prefers to enjoy a quiet life with her fiancée, filmmaker Dillon Buss.

Just a few weeks after announcing her engagement last year, Willis purchased a 1947 four-bed, four-bath Los Feliz bungalow for $3.2 million (£2.7m). Despite a somewhat inauspicious exterior, the property was renovated in 1975 by local architect Jeff Guga, and now boasts more than 3,000 square feet of open-plan, contemporary Southern California-style space, complete with blonde hardwood flooring and crisp white walls.

A large picture window overlooking a leafy backyard serves as the focal point for the combined living and dining area, while the space’s muted colour palette of caramel brown and eggshell compliments the walls and flooring. In addition to the living space, the first floor also includes a cosy den, while the lower level features a third living area which can serve as an office space, as well as a bedroom and bathroom, making it a perfect guest suite.

Up a small flight of steps sits a galley-style kitchen, with a large built-in breakfast nook, marble countertops, stainless steel appliances and sliding glass doors leading out onto a floating back deck overlooking the yard. The yard itself includes a grassy lawn, a custom saltwater pool and spa and an outdoor dining and seating area.

The third storey is home to three more bedrooms and two bathrooms, as well as the master suite, which boasts stunning views of downtown LA. The master bathroom also includes a large walk-in shower and an even larger walk-in closet!

Daughter to Hollywood icons Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith, Dakota Johnson is now a celebrity in her own right, having starred in box office smashes including 50 Shades of Grey, 21 Jump Street and, most recently, the Netflix remake of Jane Austen’s Persuasion. Having successfully stepped out from her parents’ prestigious shadows, Johnson has accumulated numerous accolades, including a People’s Choice Award, a BAFTA nomination and placement on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list.

Last year, Dakota Johnson and her partner, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, finally took the plunge and moved in together, purchasing this six-bed, nine-bath Malibu dream home for $12.5 million (£10.6m). The Cape Cod-style home boasts 5,338 square feet in which to spread out, not counting the two-storey guest house equipped with a game room and an outdoor barbeque area.

The home’s first floor is bright and airy, with a kitchen featuring white cabinetry and a large white marble island, an open-plan living area with a double-height ceiling, blonde hardwood flooring and crisp white walls throughout. Both the kitchen ceiling and an accent wall in the living room feature white painted wood panelling evocative of a ship’s galley, enhancing the house’s Cape Cod-style charm.

The property also houses a home theatre, cosy family room and spectacular master suite, complete with a vaulted ceiling, marble-clad bathroom and private balcony with ocean views. Overlooking the living area is a cosy library loft, complete with built-in dark wood bookshelves which match the distinctive black window sashes, as well as the French doors opening out onto the spacious grounds.

The grounds themselves offer a luxurious swimming pool and spa, an outdoor living area and firepit, a dining patio and a shaded pergola for stretching out poolside. However, if the couple feels the need to spread out still further, a permit to build a tennis court was included in the purchase. The property is nestled in the heart of one of Malibu’s most desirable neighbourhoods, just a short walk from the beach.

The daughter of Hollywood power couple Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith, Willow Smith is no stranger to the spotlight. At seven years old, she made her acting debut in her father’s film, I Am Legend, and by ten she had launched her musical career with her Platinum single 'Whip My Hair'. Since then, Willow has enjoyed an active acting and singing career, as well as some truly beautiful homes.

The 22-year-old starlet’s first ever real estate investment of her own is an ultra-modern, $3.1 million (£2.6m) seaside retreat in Malibu, not far from her parents’ 150-acre estate in Calabasas. The single-storey home was built in 2011 and offers four bedrooms and four bathrooms across 2,984 square feet, situated on just under half an acre. Every room in the property offers spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and the nearby Pacific Ocean.

Not only is the property architecturally and stylistically modern, but it's technologically up-to-date as well. The home was designed to be sustainable, complete with energy-efficient appliances, a grey-water recycling system and solar power. With an open floor plan, floor-to-ceiling windows and a plush lounge deck, there are plenty of opportunities for Willow and her guests to soak up the sun as well.

The living area flows seamlessly into the sleek, cherry-panelled kitchen, which in turn opens out onto a beautifully manicured backyard via a set of sliding glass doors. The outdoor space also includes several covered patios and spacious decks, each boasting a spectacular ocean view. Other indoor features include a three-sided fireplace, polished French oak flooring, custom windows and window seats and power shades to keep the space cool.

The real centrepiece of this beach bungalow, however, is the master suite. With a large gas fireplace, a spa-style bath and a wall of sliding glass doors framing a lush lawn and an ocean view as the focal point, the room is truly an oasis. Plus, situated in a private cul-de-sac, the entire property makes the perfect peaceful beach retreat.

The eldest son of former English football star David Beckham and singer-turned-fashion designer Victoria Beckham, Brooklyn Beckham enjoyed a jet-setting childhood. After his conception in Brooklyn, New York (for which he was named), Brooklyn was born in London, and spent his childhood between Madrid and LA, moving with his family as his father transferred football teams. Now 23, Brooklyn has worked successfully as a model and photographer, and earlier this year married American actress and fiancée of two years, Nicola Peltz.

In 2021, the couple celebrated the one-year anniversary of their engagement by purchasing a seven-bed, five-bath, 7,700-squarefoot estate in Beverly Hills for $10.5 million (£8.9m), splashing out $1 million over the asking price. Built in 2020, the sparkling new property was the brainchild of Jason and Sonya Powell of the James Group, who told Dirt that the house was engineered “to promote the ultimate wellness lifestyle experience with the highest level of design”.

In addition to more traditional amenities such as the infinity pool, dry sauna and steam room, the property also includes an assortment of unusual features, including a juice bar, white crystal quartz massage room and a rooftop "meditation garden and labyrinth". However, the zen is not reserved exclusively for the home’s interior. The spectacular front garden features a feng-shui reflecting pool designed to bless guests with "positive energy, wealth and abundance" as they pass through the glass-panelled front doors.

The first storey features a completely open floor plan, with exotic wood and stone throughout. The living area features a linear fireplace and a wall of glass-panelled doors leading seamlessly out to the yard and dining patio, while the sleek kitchen boasts top-of-the-line appliances, a breakfast nook and a temperature-controlled wine closet. Elsewhere on the first floor you'll find a home theatre, screened by sliding panes of smoked glass, as well as a relaxation lounge and a personal gym.

The home’s master bedroom is a whopping 2,000 square feet, consisting of its own living area complete with a fireplace, wet bar and beverage cooler, as well as a separate office space, a chandeliered, cherry-panelled walk-in closet and a balcony with its own seating area. The master bath is arguably even more luxurious, boasting a spa-style, freestanding soaking tub, dual vanities, a walk-in shower, and a sauna. Just outside the master is a private outdoor space which includes its own outdoor spa tub, rock garden, and yoga deck.
